Business-Class Lounge Access at Haneda and Narita

For a return flight from Tokyo, start with the airline operating your flight, your confirmed cabin and the departure airport. Then verify the lounge listed for that journey. A business-class ticket can provide useful time to eat or work before boarding, but guest access and arrival services require separate checks.

Key points

Check ANA and JAL business-class lounge access at Haneda and Narita, including departure eligibility, guests, connections and separate arrival services.

Use the correct departure-lounge baseline

The table covers travelers departing on the named airline's own international service in confirmed business class. Codeshares, membership benefits and connecting itineraries need their own eligibility review. Use the official airport pages linked below for the current conditions.

Match the lounge to your actual departure

Check the airport code, terminal and flight number in the airline's current departure information. Then use that airline's lounge directions. Avoid choosing a lounge from a photograph or old trip report before confirming that you can reach it within your departure process.

For a JAL-numbered flight operated by a partner airline, JAL's cabin-based rules direct business-class customers to the lounge offered by the operating carrier. Ask which facility applies. Keep the confirmed lounge name with your itinerary so you are not making that decision at security.

Check every traveler's access separately

Business-class access by itself does not include an extra guest under the ANA and JAL rules referenced here. If both adults have eligible tickets, each can qualify through their own travel. If one person travels in another cabin, check that person's eligibility rather than treating them as an automatic companion.

Membership-based access has separate conditions. Give the airline the exact status program, operating flights and number of companions when asking. For families, include children's ages and ask how the relevant guest rules apply; do not borrow an age cutoff from another lounge.

Treat arrival and connection services separately

Departure-lounge eligibility does not establish what you can use after landing from the United States. ANA lists a separate arrival lounge at Narita with its own conditions and hours. Its Haneda information currently marks the ANA ARRIVAL LOUNGE temporarily closed. Check the current notice before planning around it.

If you connect to a domestic flight, ask about the lounge for that onward journey. If a shower is your main need, confirm the actual facility, eligibility and operating hours rather than equating a shower service with full lounge access. Keep hotel check-in or another arrival plan independent of an unconfirmed facility.

Build lounge time around boarding

Choose your airport and flight for the full itinerary, then fit lounge time into it. Work backward from boarding, allowing for the walk to the gate and the departure formalities. A lounge stop should fit the connection you have, not become the reason to make it fragile.

On arrival at the lounge, ask about any service you particularly want before settling in. Keep a simple priority: a meal, a short work session or time to freshen up. Confirm current opening information close to departure, and keep your boarding pass and any status credentials available.

Frequently asked questions

Can I bring a guest with a business-class ticket?

Business-class eligibility alone does not provide an extra guest in the cited ANA and JAL rules. A separate membership benefit may apply, but it needs to be checked for the traveler and flight.

Does business class include the first-class lounge?

Do not infer that from the cabin name. The departure baseline here is ANA LOUNGE or JAL Sakura Lounge; access to other facilities requires a separate qualifying entitlement.

Can I use the same lounge after arriving in Tokyo?

Do not assume departure access continues after arrival. Arrival facilities and onward-connection lounges have their own rules, and current operating notices matter.

Should I choose Haneda or Narita for the lounge?

Compare your flight schedule and ground journey first. A lounge is a useful part of the airport experience, but it is only one element of the overall trip.
